This is a list of some of the other blogs I follow. On my blogroll I have *at least* 50 nail blogs, and I'm not going to post them all here. So I've gone through and picked my favourites. They may be the best out there, they may not, but they're my favourite! I'm also going to try and rank them in order, because I know the internet is full of you ADD types who can't seem to manage to finish a list. Though I beseech you, check them all out! Everyone here is great!
I had way more blogs on this list when I first made it, but I've been cutting it down and down. I love too many of you guys and this list was out of control!
Loodie Loodie Loodie - Definitely one of my top nail blogs, I love her. Loodie has great posts and is SO sweet, you just can't help but crush on her. She has the best tutorials around and some great instructional videos. She's also a super clever chemist and debunks a lot of the stupid things people believe about nail polish. I love a good debunking!
Scrangie - You'd have to be pretty new to the polish world not to know Scrangie. I think of her as one of the Big 3 (blogger wise, not chemical wise), along with Loodie Loodie Loodie and Chloe's Nails. She has a ton of great posts and a swatch of nearly every nail polish that ever existed, I swear. Sometimes she reviews other makeup as well, but I just skip those posts. :D
Chloe's Nails - I really adore Chloe's Nails, but she posts sporadically these days. Regardless, every time I see an update, it's gorgeous! :D She also has a lot of great tape mani's and does the iconic matte french better than anyone else.
Nailside - Jane has some great tape mani's. I don't know if she invented it, but her lightning bolt manis are sooo fun. I'm not really big into nail art, but this kind of nail art I can get behind.
Nailin' It! - I've actually done a swap with this blogger and she's super nice. We talk on a variety of forums, and I have to say I think my deepening love for nail polish is at least in part due to her encouragement in my early posting days.
Nihrida - Great nail blog, amazing swatches. What more to say? Again, posts a lot of other makeup posts, but her nail polish posts are so great that I forgive her.
The Phalanges Files - Part of the reason I love this blog is the name. Phalanges is one of the most radawesome words EVAR. Say it out loud three times in a row, and if you're not smiling or at least a little cheered up, you're a hopeless case. Go have a drink. Anyway, the swatches on here are good, and ChaosButterfly always seems so damn cheerful and sweet in her posts... it's totally endearing. When I'm not tired or hungover.
Alizarine Claws - The main reason I follow this blog is because it's written by a Swede. At the end of each post she puts a Swedish word, and I honestly do my best to add it to my vocabulary. I love and miss Sweden, even though I've never been there for more than a month at a time. It's in my blood! But she also has great swatches and I like her style of writing.
Spit & Polish - ReecesPeeces is super fun and has some good swatches. My favourite posts of hers are when she lets her inner sass shine through! Don't let the nicey nice world of nail polish blogs hold you back, RP, let it out! :D
Polish or Perish - Hypocritically of me, part of what I like about this blog is they stay on subject. Some blogs I read because I want to know what they say and some blogs I read for swatches. When the blogs I read for swatches post other things, I usually just skip the post (sorry, I'm a dick). This is, of course, a completely arbitrary distinction that exists only in my mind.
Pretty Random - This blog would definitely be in one of my top spots except she posts very sporadically these days. :( Too bad because this is hands down the most hilarious nail blog out there. A lot of these blogs give very gentle opinions and are full of nicey nice, but not this one! Not to say she doesn't say nice things, but she also says other things, usually very funny things. Post more, I miss my Pretty Random fix!
The Edge of Sanity - This is run by eight ladies and has SO MANY SWATCHES. I think I can safely say this site has created the most lemmings for me out of any of them. Hasn't been updated in a while, though.
